Situation

BlackArch was retained by the controlling shareholders of APR Energy to advise on a recapitalization of the company that included a significant investment to increase APR’s fleet of power generators and expand its footprint in South America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Outcome

The process resulted in a $250 million strategic investment in the company by Soros Fund Management and Albright Capital Management (which continued as an investor in the company). Co-founders John Campion and Laurence Anderson remained significant shareholders in APR Energy and continued to lead the company
