P.J. Martin is a Managing Director of BlackArch. He has over 14 years of experience advising on privately-held and sponsor-backed middle-market investment banking transactions, including sellside and buyside mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory and financings, with a particular focus on the industrials sector.

Mr. Martin co-heads BlackArch's Diversified Industrials group, with a particular focus on industrial & engineered products. More broadly within the industrials sector, Mr. Martin has experience across several sectors: Aerospace, Defense & Government Services; Distribution; Energy & Industrial Services; and Industrial Growth & Diversified Manufacturing. Mr. Martin joined BlackArch in 2014 following three years in New York City in Barclays' M&A group, where he focused on larger middle-market sellside transactions. Prior to his time at Barclays, Mr. Martin spent four years as an analyst and associate with Edgeview Partners (acquired by Piper Jaffray), a middle-market investment bank based in Charlotte, where he worked with many of BlackArch's senior bankers.

Mr. Martin earned his undergraduate degree from Davidson College where he received a bachelor of arts in political science. While at Davidson, Mr. Martin was a four-year member and Captain of the varsity golf team. He holds a master's degree in business administration with distinction from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, where he was the Tiger Management MBA Fellow and a recipient of the Falls Prize.

Mr. Martin lives in Charlotte with his wife, son and daughter.
