BlackArch Partners Advises Mobile Communications America on its Sale to Sentinel Capital Partners
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (March 12, 2018) – BlackArch Partners LLC (“BlackArch”) is pleased to
announce that it has advised Mobile Communications America (“MCA” or the “Company”) and
WJ Partners on the sale of MCA to Sentinel Capital Partners (“Sentinel”).
Headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina, MCA is a leading provider of communications
and network solutions and services which enhance the safety, security, and operating efficiency
of a diverse base of more than 10,000 customers. MCA's customer base includes public safety
institutions and some of the largest, most well-known corporate clients in North America.
Since being acquired by WJ Partners in 2013, MCA has completed 16 add-on acquisitions and
grown from a small business with 75 employees across four service locations into a leading
provider of communications solutions and services for mission-critical, commercial, and industrial markets. MCA is now the largest service provider for Motorola Solutions in the U.S., with more than 500 employees across 41 service locations in seven states.
The transaction is another example of BlackArch’s deep Business Services experience in mission critical, field services business models; strong buy-and-build platforms; and converging industrial technology in voice, video, and data.
BlackArch was retained by MCA and its financial partner, WJ Partners, to serve as the Company’s exclusive financialadvisor.
Sentinel Capital Partners has partnered with management to acquire MCA and fuel continued growth.
The Company’s unique business model allows it to serve the evolving, mission-critical communication needs of enterprise and commercial customers by delivering a comprehensive offering of service and product solutions throughout its expanding operating footprint, concentrated in the Southeastern U.S.
Management will continue to remain an integral part of the shareholder group during the Company’s next phase of growth with Sentinel.
BlackArch leveraged its deep industry and end market knowledge to achieve an optimal outcome for management and the shareholders.
