S. Adam Smith
S. Adam Smith is a Vice President of BlackArch Partners. Prior to joining BlackArch as an Associate, Mr. Smith was an entrepreneur and operator in the Consumer, Retail and Technology sectors for over a decade.
As an accomplished operator, Mr. Smith was a sales leader at the largest global retail account for top consumer products companies, including Procter & Gamble and Newell Rubbermaid, among others. He co-founded a mobile technology company that developed in-store marketing channels for brands to reach consumers on their mobile phones while shopping, which reached the top-50 status on the Apple iTunes store and has millions of users even today.
Mr. Smith has transaction experience across diverse sectors, including: Consumer, Transportation & Logistics, Distribution and Applied Technology.
Mr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University where he received a BS in Business Economics & Public Policy. He was Captain of the IU Men’s Rowing team and recipient of the Lionel D. Edie Award as the top student in Business Economics. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School, where he earned first-year academic honors and was elected President of his section.
Mr. Smith lives in Charlotte with his wife, son and two daughters.
